Revenue and results for the first half of 2016:
Hydratec’s consolidated revenue for the first half of 2016 rose to € 79.9 million (first half of 2015: € 31.5 million). This increase was due primarily to the inclusion of Helvoet and Abar which, because they were acquired as of July 2015, were not consolidated during the first half of last year. Organic growth amounted to 5%, thanks mainly to a greater number of systems being delivered by Agri & Food Systems. The higher revenue and improved margins resulted in increased operating profit and net result.
During the first half of 2016 the Agri & Food Systems core activity achieved revenue of € 28.7 million, considerably higher than in the same period in 2015. This was due in the main to an increasing willingness to invest in the international poultry and pet food market segments. Agri & Food Systems’ operating profit rose to € 1.8 million.
Plastic Components’ revenue grew robustly to € 51.2 million due to the consolidation of Helvoet. Organic growth was comparable to 2015. Plastic Components’ operating profit rose to € 1.8 million.
Hydratec’s consolidated operating profit for the first half of 2016 amounted to € 3.0 million (first half of 2015: € 0.2 million). This equates to 3.8 % of revenue.
Net result rose to € 2.3 million (first half of 2015: € 0.1 million).
