Hydratec revenue sharply higher
Hydratec’s revenue over the first three quarters of 2016 was sharply higher than over the same period in 2015, primarily due to the acquisition of Helvoet. In addition, both core activities – Agri & Food Systems and Plastic Components – achieved autonomous growth.
Agri & Food Systems’ margins on projects were noticeably better that in 2015 and, at the same time, revenue also rose modestly. The important (Eastern) European market remained stable, the North American market developed positively, but the South American and Middle Eastern markets remained reticent. Recent product developments further reinforced the market positioning with existing clients. The continued positive development of the pet food market resulted in a very well filled order book for this group of clients.
Due to the acquisition of Helvoet in 2015, Plastic Components’ revenue was sharply higher than in the same period last year. The companies’ organic revenue rose modesty compared to 2015. Both the Automotive and the Health Tech markets appear to be improving slowly, although new products are demanding a very long development time. Continuous investment in measure to increase efficiency has further reinforced the competitive position.
Outlook for the whole of 2016:
Our forecast that Hydratec’s revenue and result during the second half of 2016 will be comparable to the revenue and result for the first half of the year remains unchanged.
