At € 162 million the total revenue from Hydratec’s activities was considerably higher than in 2015 (€ 113 million), primarily due to the consolidation of Helvoet and Abar throughout 2016. Gross margin rose from 50.1% to 52.4%. Operating profit amounted to € 8.2 million compared with € 7.8 million in 2015. Compared to the previous year, during which substantial one-time income influenced the figures, Hydratec’s net result attributable to shareholders dropped from € 10.8 million to € 5.9 million. Group equity rose from € 42.8 million to € 48.4 million and solvency amounted to 40.8%. Earnings per share amounted to € 4.72.
Bart Aangenendt (CEO) regarding the past year:
“All the Hydratec companies improved their result from normal business operations. In 2016 the activities of Helvoet and ABAR were successfully consolidated within the Hydratec organisation. In part due to this both core activities – Agri & Food Systems and Plastic Components – are well positioned to achieve further growth.”

2016 Annual Report
The 2016 Annual Report will be published on Thursday 6 April. The audit is currently being completed.
During the Annual General Meeting on 31 May a dividend of € 1.70 per share will be proposed to the shareholders in-line with the policy of paying-out at least 40% of the net result to shareholders (excluding one-time income). This is an increase of 24% compared to the previous year (€ 1.37).
During recent years we have observed that uncertain macro-economic conditions have a noticeable effect on the demand for our companies’ products. Nevertheless our companies have proved they are capable of acquiring new orders from both existing and new clients and, as a result, have achieved revenue growth. In our view it is still too early to express an opinion regarding the expected results for 2017.
Composition of the Supervisory Board
During the forthcoming General Meeting of Shareholders Mr. H.A.A. Kienhuis will resign from the Supervisory Board. Hydratec is very grateful to him for his stimulating contribution during recent years. As his successor the Supervisory Board is nominating Ms. M. Sanders. Ms. Sanders has experience as an entrepreneur and as a member of various Supervisory Boards. The appointment of Ms. Sanders will be put before the General Meeting of Shareholders in Amersfoort on 31 May for approval.
